The Pat Gawdun Quilting Ministry lovingly crafts beautiful quilts, each stitch woven with prayer and compassion. With hearts full of faith, they create these handmade treasures to bring warmth, comfort, and the Lord’s peace to those in need. Every quilt is more than just fabric and thread—it is a testament to God’s love, a symbol of hope, and a source of healing for those facing hardship. Through their dedication and generosity, the Quilting Ministry spreads kindness and faith, wrapping individuals in the embrace of God’s grace, one quilt at a time.
We also collaborate with other ministries within our parish, such as Operation Appalachia, or beyond, such as Table of Hope, to support their outreach on behalf of those in need. Our ministry meets on Saturday mornings, every 3-4 weeks, from 9:30 am until Noon in the parish hall. We work together. We currently have about 15 active members but average 6-10 at each meeting.
All materials as well as basic quilting supplies and sewing machines are provided by the ministry; however, members are welcome to bring their own machines.
New members are always welcome! You don't need to know anything about sewing or quilting to experience the joy of our ministry. If you want to learn about quilting, we are willing teachers!
If you want to help, many simple tasks don't involve sewing. Can you iron? Pin? Draw lines?
You don't have to come to every quilting session; come whenever you can!
