Our Hearts of Prayer Ministry exists to provide spiritual support to those seeking the power of communal prayer. Participants in the ministry have made a commitment before our Lord to pray on a regular basis for the concerns, special needs, and intentions of those who bring prayer requests to the forum.

The protocols below have been created for the benefit of everyone who is part of Hearts of Prayer. To ensure that this forum remains a source of comfort and strength to all who use it, we ask that you be mindful of the guidelines when sending out or responding to prayer requests. Please be aware also that if there is a significant deviation from protocols, the issue will be addressed immediately with the participant. Thank you!

• This forum is for prayer requests only. It does not exist as a platform for opinion-sharing or “news-gathering.”
• Confidentiality is crucial in terms of the health information that is shared.  
• Be sure to have permission from the person being prayed for if you mention them by name in your e-mail.
• Avoid sharing unnecessary medical details about someone’s health or medical procedure. Not only is this information private, but it also is not essential to the ultimate goal of requesting prayer.
• Before sending an e-mail to announce the death of a parishioner or their family member, please first contact the parish office to ensure that our priests and staff are aware.
• If you require assistance in posting a prayer request, simply contact a parish staff member and they will be happy to help.
