I would like to first and foremost be a part of a group of people that is seeking to follow Jesus. I crave intimacy with others that is grounded in prayer and centered in Christ. However, having received grace from Christ through the sacraments, prayer, and through each other, I want to work together to share what we have received with everyone in the parish.
I do not view appointment to the council as a position of authority, but as a position of service. It is my wish that more parishioners would deeply encounter Christ’s love, mercy, and healing. Therefore I would love to help the council’s mission of providing new spiritual formation opportunities and improving what is already in place. I believe that I am an effective oral and written communicator, listen carefully to the people I encounter, and try to have an open mind and heart to hear various points of view and to discern – with the Holy Spirit’s help – how to best reach people.
