We are deeply saddened to learn that a man of boundless humility and deep faith – Deacon Matt McMahon – has gone home to the Lord after a long and valiant battle with cancer. For over five years, Deacon Matt served the parish of Notre Dame with joy and faithfulness, especially loving his participation in small group faith-sharing. He was a powerful witness to the servanthood of discipleship and to putting others’ needs before his own.
We join Matt’s wife, Sue, and their children and grandchildren in expressing our sorrow at the loss of this beautiful man. Deacon Matt and his family will be in our prayers of thanksgiving for enriching our parish family’s faith journey in countless ways.
