Today, we grieve the loss of a second parish family – and staff – member: our treasured Deacon Vic Lupi. Throughout the decades he served Notre Dame, Vic and his beloved Nancy offered support and guidance to countless engaged couples in overseeing FOCCUS. But especially to parish staff, Deacon Vic was best known for always being available to comfort and counsel grieving families at a time of loss. No matter how inconvenient the day or time, Deacon Vic never failed to be present to families who needed his help in planning a wake or funeral. It was a special blessing to the grieving that Vic would offer a wake service, supporting family and friends with prayer at a time when it meant so much.
 
You will be greatly missed, Deacon Vic, but we know your spirit will remain with us always. We sing a joyous song of gratitude to have been blessed by your faith, compassion and loving heart for so many years at Notre Dame.
