On Saturday, Nov. 16
th, families from Elementary Faith Formation gathered to sort hygiene products and school supplies into bags, baskets and kits, for "Church World Service,” an organization with a mission to “feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick, comfort the aged, shelter the homeless.”
In total parents, children and faith leaders created 37 school supply and 43 hygiene kits. As baskets were being assembled, it was apparent there was a shortage of supplies; parents quickly collected money, and one of them went out to purchase the supplies needed to complete the project. We are so grateful for all the donations from our parish community!
The parents and children also made Christmas and holiday cards for "Cards for Hospitalized Kids," an organization distributing cards of hope and joy to kids in hospitals throughout the United States.
We are so grateful for the engagement of our young families with this project, and for the support with donations received from our parish community!
