Father Jhon and I are overwhelmed with gratitude for all the goodness that parishioners are showing towards each other, and indeed to us, your priests and deacons. We also are grateful for your response to the caring leadership of our staff and ministry leads.
This is a new experience of being church. As a community of faith in renewal, we find ourselves on mission as we share with one another the goodness of Jesus (the Good News!). In fact, we now can see ourselves as active, authentic missionary disciples!
Let us continue to pray for one another, the elderly in our community who are alone and possibly lonely, all who are sick, the “first responders” placing themselves in danger’s way, and all those worried about jobs and health care.
In fact, we pray for all to have hearts of hope! Together we will pull through this virus and be made new as a people who value life - God’s gift to all his children. We believe Jesus is at our side on this journey, and we walk by faith in Him, not merely by what we see with our human eyes.
We have experienced a great start to Holy Week. At Palm Sunday Mass, Fr Jhon invited all of us to join the palms of our hands in prayer, welcoming Jesus into our hearts this week. In this way we will gloriously celebrate the Passion, Death and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ!
