Thank you for these past nine years, Fr. Paddy. Thank you for sharing with us your joy, positivity, songs, poems, hope, vision, and trust in the Lord and in each of us. Thank you for your never-ending encouragement, affirmation, and belief in us. Thank you for the countless times you handed that microphone over to a child or anyone whose voice and message we needed to hear. Thank you for giving a voice to the voiceless and making those who are seemingly invisible - visible in our hearts: the immigrants, the marginalized, the elderly, the judged, the disconnected, and those we have been intentionally or unintentionally keeping aside. Thank you for reminding us that in our struggles, we are to go on our knees and open our arms to Jesus on the Cross, who is always ready to embrace and lift us. Thank you for so often reminding us, as did the prophet Micah, of "what the Lord requires of us: to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God."
So deservingly, you leave behind the "Lights, Leaks, and Ledgers." As you continue your missionary journey, take our love, deepest gratitude, prayers, and the many wonderful memories we have shared these past nine years going far together…
