Our beloved parish of Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel is turning 100 years old this year! While July 5, 1925, is the official date of our church dedication, July 5, 2025, will mark just the beginning of a year-long centennial celebration filled with FAITH, fellowship, gratitude, MISSION, and HOPE!
Our Deacons and their wives (Dcn. Joe and Karen Harris and Dcn. Eric and Debby Kispert) are lovingly spearheading this initiative to bring to our parish community a "visible and beautiful mark" of our centennial.
A team is being assembled to search for, collect, sort through, and organize all types of content so that we can share our 100-year-old story now and in the years to come. There are so many components to this effort, and this is perhaps one of the most vital and meaningful opportunities for all who are or have been part of the parish to be included in our storytelling. Your memories, memorabilia, experiences, and reflections will help us honor the legacy of Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel and those who have made an impact on its journey.
Each year, we have the opportunity to celebrate Our Lady and Patroness, Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel, whose feast day is July 16. In this, our centennial year, we want to lift this celebration in a special way, in gratitude for our Patroness's accompaniment and intercession throughout these past 100 years! More details will follow.
In all, we invite you to join us, prayerfully and in any other way you can, as we undertake all these efforts through the power of the Holy Spirit and the intercession of our Lady and Patroness, Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel. Let us stay connected, stay involved, and make this centennial a year that will mark our hearts with boundless gratitude for what has been and great joy for what is to come for us and countless others!
