Welcoming Laura Balogh , new Director of Faith Formation!

Please join me and Father Jhon in welcoming our newest addition to the Notre Dame staff:
Laura Balogh (pronounced “BAY-LOG”). Laura’s position will be Faith Formation Director, an opportunity she is looking forward to with joy and enthusiasm!
For most of her career, Laura has held increasingly responsible positions at New York Life in New York City. Most recently, her job was Manager of Training, where she formed and developed teams whose role was to convey to clients complicated information in a way that was easily understood. Laura’s experience in team-building and leadership will be a great asset in her role as our Faith Formation Director. With an undergraduate degree in psychology, Laura is on the final leg of earning her Master’s degree in Theology from Seton Hall. For the past two years, she has been a participant in the CCE program at St. Paul Inside the Walls.
Laura and her husband, Dan, who spent his career at AT&T, live in Madison and are members of St. Vincent Martyr, where Laura serves on Pastoral Council and has actively engaged in other ministries as well. Dan is now retired and among other activities, volunteers teaching ESL to Spanish-speakers. The couple has remarkably varied interests, including travel and hiking, both here and abroad, social justice involvement, and a passion for classic films – a subject on which Laura has written and been published.
