We are excited for the engagement and support families in our Faith Formation program will be lending our Season of Thanksgiving Food Drive, to be held during during the first 3 weekend in November. Participating as a family, the Domestic Church, and learning from example will be an invaluable contribution to the children’s Faith Formation!
Here’s how families have been invited to participate and help those in need:
Elementary School: Parents and children can actively participate in the shopping and organizing of any contributed food items. To make this engagement possible, families will be provided with a blank picture of a food basket to decorate. Children can draw, color or even cut photos out of magazines, representing each item the family is donating. Completed artwork will be submitted at the drop-off time so we can place them on a special bulletin board for all to see!
Families with Children of All Ages:
Parents and your children can participate in the drive-through food collections by taking donations out of trunks of cars;
Help Dress our Turkey: with each donation of Thanksgiving food items, each child will receive a feather to stick on our featherless turkey that will be placed in our Gathering Space of the Church.
We are thankful for everyone's support! We’re aware that each family is experiencing different financial circumstances, so please know that ANY donation, however small, would be greatly appreciated and makes a difference.
