For those who couldn’t be with us Friday Evening, Paddy’s Pub was a three-hour celebration unlike any other we have enjoyed here at Notre Dame. Old friends snacked and sipped wine or beer as they visited and enjoyed each other’s company. And many new friendships were forged tonight, with friends introducing friends and everyone joining in easy conversation throughout the evening. It was exciting to take it all in, and promising for our future!
The Parish Hall had been transformed into what looked like an authentic Irish pub, thanks to hours of work by a committed band of disciples and the generosity of local vendors. Best of all was the music and adorable, talented Irish dancers that added so much to the ambience and flavor of this great evening. Topping it off was the resonant voice of our Irish pastor, who sang several well-known ballads to the accompaniment of our beloved and gifted Jim Keefe on piano.
All in all, the evening was a huge success, with a great time had by all. Lots of new friends were made tonight, and by the grace of God, these relationships will grow and flourish into the future!
