This past Saturday our 2nd grade families participated in a special First Reconciliation Retreat, as part of the preparation for the children to receive their first Sacrament of Reconciliation. This year, Diane Byrne (Elementary Faith Formation Coordinator), offered a retreat format which gave parents an opportunity to strengthen their own faith journey, as well as to share this faith experience more actively with their children. It was a blessing to have the support of various faith leaders and also a group of Confirmation teens who helped with the various stations and activities. These families will be celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation next week (the little ones for the first time!). Please keep them in your prayers on this wonderful sacramental journey!
