On November 2, a fire broke out at the Father English Center, the diocesan agency of Catholic Family & Community Services (CFCS). The fire resulted in the
total loss of its food pantry and clothing supplies.
The pantry feeds more than 4,000 of the neediest families in the area each month. The center also assists families in need of clothes and shoes and has helped those in need of a suit for a job interview or a child in need of a First Communion outfit.
Parishes of our diocese are being asked to help the Father English Center restore its ability to provide essentials to the surrounding poor. As the holiday season approaches, we ask our Notre Dame faith community to respond in its characteristically generous manner.
Due to the sense of urgency of this need we will hold a 2nd Collection on the Weekend of December 2nd & 3rd.
Thank you for the generosity of your discipleship in His name!
