The manner in which we treat sacred things fosters and expresses our openness to the graces God gives to His Church in every celebration of the Eucharist. Thus, by the diligent care of altar linens, the Church expresses her joy at the inestimable gifts she receives from Christ's altar.

Our Mission: The Altar Linen Ministry was created long ago as the Rosary Altar Society. It's purpose then, as now, was to maintain the linens used by the priest and Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist during the holy sacrifice of the Mass. The contribution of the Altar Linen Ministry is to help ensure that our "Sacred Space" is both welcoming and appropriately prepared.
Ministry Structure:
This ministry is under the leadership of a Ministry Chairperson who is responsible for scheduling and ensuring that procedures are followed in the laundering and folding of the linens. Members are asked to pick up, wash, iron and return the altar linens to the Sacristy. Each member is scheduled approximately 4-6 times a year. Training in the procedures for washing and ironing is provided.
Join Us!
This is a perfect ministry of service for those who cannot attend regular meetings but wish to offer their service for the benefit of the liturgy. We welcome individuals who hold an understanding and appreciation for the importance of adhering to accepted practices in properly preparing the altar linens for use in our liturgies.
