Our Mission:
The Adoration Ministry serves to deepen and enrich the faith lives of others through the experience of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
What is Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament?
In simplest terms, Adoration is placing oneself in the presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, exposed inside a special stand called a “monstrance.” This allows for a personal encounter with Jesus, who is truly present in a very real and special way.
How Our Ministry Is Structured:
The ministry is overseen and guided by a chairperson, who is assisted by two ministry leaders responsible for coordinating morning and afternoon Adoration coverage. Ministry membership totaling approximately 22-25 ministers assures that two ministers are assigned for each one-hour time segment during the weekly twelve-hour Adoration periods. This makes it possible for others to spend time in Adoration for whatever lengths of time they wish or are available.
Won't You Join Our Ministry?
Jesus asked, “Could you not spend one hour with me?” If your heart hears His call and desires to respond, we welcome you with open arms to join our ministry! Members of our ministry are offered the opportunity to be weekly guardians (committing to Adore for one hour each Friday), or to serve as substitutes (only called occasionally, as needed).
